Community Kitchen
COVID-19 Relief

COVID-19 has left thousands of people without food security.
Just like the rest of the world, many have lost their jobs in Puerto Rico.
The stimulus has not arrived for most.
Children are not getting their usual school lunches.
And unemployment in our area has reached 30%.

To attend to this crisis, we are opening a community kitchen.

The city of Vega Alta has lent us a working school kitchen so that we can feed more than 200 families each day – mainly single parents, their children, and the elderly. This is the first of its kind in our region and it is our privilege to get it going ASAP.

We are hiring a local team of cooks, who will run a clean kitchen and will prepare healthy meals with a good mix of proteins, carbs, salads and veggies.

We are also handing out gloves/masks/hand sanitizers to them, our team of volunteers, and to every family we are feeding.

Please consider giving so we can feed our neighbors and empower our community. And thank you for helping us make a difference!
